Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

You don't need to. The six pieces of information the quote tool requests are gender, date of birth, your health level described in simple terms, whether you use tobacco, the coverage amount you're interested in, and the term. Those six facts are sufficient to generate carrier rates. Your name, address and full health information are collected only if you proceed to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

The prices displayed are what each carrier quotes for the health class you selected. Once underwriting is complete, the carrier may confirm, improve, or change your rate class, which affects the final premium. Everything shown on this site is for information purposes only and does not constitute an insurance offer or a guaranteed price.

What happens when I click Apply?

Your name is added, and your chosen quote is used to start an application prefilled with your answers. This application continues on the carriers' secure application platform. You can pause and return later, and you'll sign electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency (License 0B75129), manages the application process.

Will I need a medical exam?

It depends on which carrier you choose, the coverage amount you select, and your answers on the application. Many carriers now offer accelerated programs that can make decisions immediately for qualifying applicants without requiring a physical exam. Each quote shows whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not required for that product.

Is a longer term better?

The right term should cover the years when your family's finances would suffer if your income disappeared. That might mean a mortgage, children still at home, or business obligations. Longer terms cost more each month but lock in your rate for longer. Use the quote tool to compare 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years at the same time.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool does not retain personal information, we do not sell or share data about visitors, and our analytics do not use cookies. To see exactly what this website collects and how each party uses it, check the privacy page.
